ABOUT PAKHOPEASY
Our journey began when our son Master Yash, now a teenager, had just started his schooling. In his early academic years, he was often overwhelmed by the number of subjects and had difficulty learning new topics in a short amount of time.
We, as working parents with little free time, wondered how to meet his learning needs. Since we couldn’t find effective resources to solve this problem, I started creating colorful worksheets for Yash. I used to give him worksheets every day and explain the tasks for the day, which he would complete by the end of the day. When it worked, I created an array of worksheets for him for various learning tasks and subjects, making it easy for him to learn by himself. We are glad that this simple habit of learning by himself instilled early on has turned him into a confident and independent learner. Following the same method of self-learning, he not only excelled academically with outstanding scores every time, but he has also developed many other skills on his own!
As it became quite clear to us that children learn the most when they are given the right resources at the right time, we decided to create something that could help other parents in their children’s learning.
I’m an education enthusiast, having inherited a strong teaching affinity from my grandfather, who worked as a teacher / principal during the pre-independence era. My father, who has a doctorate in chemistry, led numerous college students as a lecturer for more than three decades. With this strong legacy, switching from being a legal consultant at a leading media company to starting our educational start-up came naturally to me.
Out of pure passion, I conducted conceptual research in early education. After extensive research, I authored a book series, created a bunch of handy materials for parents, and curated everything into the Pakhopeasy learning skills development program for young children. Nitin, the co-founder, is a lawyer specializing in educational matters and has an allied interest in an initiative to help children self-learn. He has shared his expertise in developing and promoting the startup.
As parents, it’s often challenging to teach our children how to learn or study because we weren’t taught any learning methods explicitly during our childhood. Our initiative aims to help parents teach their children the basic skills of learning (‘HOW to learn?’) so that learning anything and everything (‘WHAT to learn?) becomes easy for them.
Our mission is to develop confident and independent self-learners who are always ready to face the challenges of learning new things in this constantly changing world. Let’s join hands together to make a difference for the future generation!
